Godlike Power and Sound Issues
HOLY SHIT.
We did it again.
In the past few weeks we managed to kill TWO celebrities by talking about them dying. First, we joked that it wouldn’t be sad but silly if the band Slipknot died. Then bassist Paul Gray died.
This past Sunday we recorded a podcast where we have a bit of a celebrity Death Pool in the wake of Gary Coleman and Dennis Hopper dying. Many names were mentioned, but one in particular stood out.
Rue McClanahan.
Jesse brought up that if Betty White died right now it would be a particularly big deal, but that it wouldn’t be fair if Rue was the last surviving Golden Girl. Guest, Mike Pullan, offered that it wouldn’t be fair to us but would be fair to heaven. Justin Grace observed that she had the most sex, so perhaps she would live the longest.
Four days later she was dead.
It has come to our attention that Pod Awful has gained the power of gods. The consequences of this are staggering, but we want to ensure the Pod People that we will use this ability for good and not for evil.
Anyway, next week we are talking about Carlos Mencia and Dane Cook.
In other news, we continue to have an issue with the audio being too quiet. This isn’t a problem in the recording stage, but the uploading stage. I cannot figure out why every podcast becomes so muted when played from archive.org. If anyone has suggestions let us know.
The good news is, it doesnt seem to affect the file itself, and when you listen on iTunes it plays at about normal volume, and on headphones it sounds perfectly loud. These are temporary workarounds while we figure something out. Just another great reason to subscribe!
Thanks for listening!
